Chasing the dream:
Chardon Gate Stables

Chardon Gate Stables
Alex and Ernesto had always shared a passion for horses. It was during a chance meeting at a riding school where they first crossed paths. Their mutual love for horses quickly turned into something more, and before long, they were married. Together, they dreamed of one day owning a horse farm, where they could not only care for these magnificent creatures but also share their passion by teaching others how to ride.
After years of hard work and careful planning, the day finally arrived. They had found the perfect piece of land—16 acres of open pasture, nestled in the heart of McHenry County, with views that stretched to the horizon. It was perfect. With a leap of faith, they purchased the land and set about transforming it into their dream horse farm; Chardon Gate Stables.
They spent countless hours ensuring that Chardon Gate Stables would be a special place to board and ride horses. Chardon Gate Stables wasn’t just a business to them—it was a community. Their philosophy was simple: riding wasn’t just a skill to master; it was about building a relationship with the horse, fostering trust and respect between rider and animal.
As the farm grew, they introduced programs for riders of all ages. From teaching young children the basics of riding to helping adults overcome their fears, Alex and Earnesto made sure that everyone felt welcome. Their dream had become a reality—one filled with the quiet rhythm of hooves on soft earth, the laughter of children learning to ride, and the deep fulfillment that comes from doing what you love. Alex and Earnesto knew they had found their true calling, and every day was a reminder that chasing a dream, no matter how big, was always worth it.
